Uppal's Orchid has a waste recycle program
consisting of the 3 ‘R’ policy
- which refers to reduce, reuse and recycle.
The program extends to all the departments, areas and
functions of the hotel in a cost effective way. The following
are a few instances:
No disposable items (such as plastic
cutlery and plates) are used in any of the F & B outlets.Recycle-
The hotel uses 20% - 100% PC (post consumer) paper for
all paper work.Reuse- Each office has
a policy of reusing paper that has been used only on one
side.
Zero Garbage- Uppal's Orchid
practices a policy of ‘zero garbage’
according to which all organic waste is utilized for the
process of ‘Vermiculture’
or Rapid Organic Compound. All non-organic
waste is sold to scrap merchants. This is practiced at
all levels in the hotel. |
